In 1970, much of our bay turned lifeless from dredge and fill development. Now, Tampa Bay is one of the only urban estuaries where water quality is improving. Learn more about the health of our watery playground at our January meeting from Rachel Arndt, the Communications Co-ordinator of the nonprofit Tampa Bay Watch. Over the last 22 years, the professional staff of Tampa Bay Watch has leveraged over 100,000 community volunteers for estuary restoration.
