Meet 9am at Gulf Pier parking lot. Launch 9:30 am just before slack tide. Approximately 8 miles round trip with 2 miles exposed channel crossing. Possible eddy lines and wind waves that require bracing/sculling skills. We will paddle counterclockwise around Egmont Key, landing on a beach there, then returning on the <1.5 knot flood current.
Boats must have flotation/sealed bulkheads. Be able to maintain >3mph pace. Wear USCG approved PFD. Bring food, water, hat, sunscreen, whistle. $5 park entry fee, unless you have an annual pass.
