We will meet at 8 a.m. (to avoid some of the heat) at Fr Desoto's Gulf Pier for a 8:30 launch to paddle around Egmont Key. Bring lots of water/drink and your lunch to eat on the beach at Egmont Key. Plan to return by 1 - 1:30, or sooner if weather conditions change route plan. Boats must be at least 15' with water-tight bulkheads. Dress for heat. Must reply so you can be contacted if plans change.
Paddle Difficulty: Level III because of open and possibly rough water, busy channel, distance of 10 - 12 miles, and speed of about 3.5 mph.
