Location: Dunedin Causeway, just west of the kayak rental.
Schedule: Saturday, September 9; meet time 08:30 am, launch time 09:00 am, approximate return time 01:00 pm
Additional information: We’ll plan to paddle out to the Gulf and down to the south end of Caladesi Island, stopping at the south end for some water play/practice and lunch/snack. Plan to portage the short distance to the bay side of the island and return; but may return on the Gulf side after examining conditions on both sides and exploring recent changes to the size of the long silted-up cut through the south end of the island. Must reply so you can be contacted of any change due to weather conditions on day of the paddle.
Difficulty: Level II, about 8 miles, most in open Gulf water
Required: PFD, whistle, kayak at least 14’ with flotation or water tight bulkheads, spray deck, sun protection, drink, lunch/snack to eat on the beach.
