Level II,  7 miles, 3-4 hours, Meet 9:00am at put-in, shuttle 9:30am (8 miles/9 min from put-in), 10:00am launch.  Meet-up/Put-in: Juniper Springs Recreation Area. Take-out:  FL-19 Bridge Boat Ramp

This is one of the top 25 canoe runs in America per Reserve America. Clear water, superb scenery. Challenging paddling in the narrow upper portion of the stream due to fast water flow, sharp turns, overhanging branches, stumps and dead-falls. Short boats are welcome! We may take a picnic break at Halfway Landing (no facilities).  The creek eventually broadens in the beautiful Juniper Prairie Wilderness for a relaxing paddle in wetlands hosting wading birds.  The Tampa Bay Times write up by Terry Tomalin is at https://goo.gl/pqYNpo.
