Description: We will paddle either north or south through the tunnels depending on the wind during the approach from the Dunedin Causeway. The weather will be cool enough to pleasantly explore the trails with minimal expectation of mosquitoes.
Location: Dunedin Causeway just west of the kayak rental facility. Park restrooms are located just east of rental facility.
Schedule: Wednesday January 31, Meet at 9:00 for a 9:30 launch, approximate return time 12:30pm
Difficulty: Level II Approximately 8 miles Winds are forecast for 5-10 from the east. Please monitor wind speeds to verify the paddle to and from the mangrove trail area is suitable for your skills. The temperature is expected to be cool - please layer up accordingly.
Required / suggested / restricted: Kayaks should be 15 feet or longer with bulk heads and spray skirts. No inflatable PFDs please. Even though cool, bring plenty of water for hydration and snacks as you like.
