Description: We’ll paddle UP the Hillsborough River to the Rowlett Park Dam and return. If time permits we’ll continue downstream. Plan to eat a snack/lunch (whatever you bring with you) on the river bank. This is a leisurely paddle in protected water on a part of the lower Hillsborough that is often overlooked.
Location: Lowry Park Boat Ramp (the Park is off Sligh Avenue in North Tampa)
Schedule: Wednesday, March 14. We’ll meet at the boat ramp at Tampa’s Lowry Park at 9:00 for a 9:30 launch.
Difficulty: Level II – due to distance of about 5 miles. Boats of all size are welcome.
Required: Non-Inflatable PFD, Water/Drink, Sunscreen
