This is a Pinellas County park with nice facilities and a kayak launch including a fresh water rinse. We will wade / paddle out through the mangrove trail, under the boardwalk, about 150 yards, into a nice open area off the intracoastal waterway.  (Bring mosquito repellent.) It gets shallow so some wading is possible. We can head north or south to explore the two-mile length bordered by mangroves, a golf course, spoil islands and some nice homes. We will stop on one of the spoil islands for a snack and stretch. The full oval-ish tour is about four miles but it is easy to shorten the route if needed. Arrive early or stay after and stroll the boardwalk. The covered tower, with shade, breeze and benches, gives a very nice view of the whole paddle area.
