TBSK Monthly Meeting - Non-Members Invited

Join us at the monthly meeting (the second Monday) to learn about various kayaking related topics and meet other kayaking enthusiasts.

This month Cora Berchem will update us on the current status of Florida’s manatees, the major threats they confront, and what can be done by Floridians and their government to protect the future of these iconic mammals. Cora is the manatee research and multimedia specialist for the Save the Manatee Club, and she oversees the Manatee Observer Volunteer Program in the summer to prevent manatee harassment.

As usual, our generous host Bill Jackson’s will provide hot dogs, chips, cookies and soft drinks about 6:45. Please arrive to enjoy the food and camaraderie before the meeting.

The meeting, open to all, begins at 7 p.m. at Bill Jackson’s Shop for Adventure, 9501 US Hwy 19 N in Pinellas Park.
