Egmont Key paddle postponed one day to Thursday Feb 14 due to weather. New schedule: Thursday, Feb. 14, meet 10am at Gulf Pier (past the ferry pier and kayak outpost turnoffs), launch at 10:30am. The wind starts offshore changing to onshore when the land warms up in the afternoon. Water temp is 64°F. Bring a lunch to eat on the beach.

Description: Depending on conditions, we will paddle around Egmont Key and stop for eats.
Location: TBA - please register to obtain details. Note additional info: $5 entry fee to Fort DeSoto.
Schedule: Wed Feb 13, meet time- 09:00 am , launch time- 09:30 am , approximate return time- 1:30 pm see new schedule above
Additional information: Distance 8 - 12 miles depending on put-in location
Difficulty: Level III. open water skills required... tides, current, waves... ability to do surf landing and launch.
Required: Kayaks 15'9" min, fore and aft bulkheads/flotation, full deck lines, spray skirt, PFD, pump, backup fleece clothing, water, food, sun protection. Dress for water temp.
