TBSK Monthly Meeting - Non-Members Invited

Join us at the monthly meeting (the second Monday) to learn about various kayaking related topics and meet other kayaking enthusiasts.

Tim Finkenbinder and Gil Hidalgo will speak to us about their experiences in the Everglades Challenge, a 300-mile unsupported, expedition-style small boat race from Fort De Soto to Key Largo regarded as the world's toughest race of its kind. In a normal year only about 40% of the entrants successfully complete the race. Tim and Gil did so this year on only their second attempt. Both are enthusiastic Florida kayakers who can tell a fascinating story.

As usual, our generous host Bill Jackson’s will provide hot dogs, chips, cookies and soft drinks about 6:45. Please arrive to enjoy the food and camaraderie before the meeting.

The meeting, open to all, begins at 7 p.m. at Bill Jackson’s Shop for Adventure, 9501 US Hwy 19 N in Pinellas Park.
