Due to a forecast of strong winds (E 13) this trip has been upgraded to a Level 2. Will be considering moving the launch point but meet is still Arrowhead.

Trip leader: Dave Schmidt, dave@tbsk.club, 608-842-0135

Description:  We will help each other to launch over the wall and then paddle across the channel to the Shell Key area.  This area has protected waters with beaches, mangrove islands, residential properties, a cut through to the Gulf and lots of other attractions.  Lets see what we find.  Restrooms and fresh water rinse are available at the launch.  There is a toll and $5 access (or Pinellas pass) but well worth it.

Location: St. Pete, Fort De Soto,  Arrowhead picnic area.

Schedule: Meet up at 9:30am, launch by 10:00am.

Difficulty: Level II, winds posing some challenge, up to 5 miles at 3mph.

Please register on the website to allow notification of any changes. Refer to the the club Paddling Guide for info on gear and other topics.
