A couple of changes for tomorrow class. Due to a windy forecast, I am changing the location of the class to the Canoe Trail at Fort Desoto Park. It is very sheltered.

The class time is changed to 10am. Please arrive by 9:30

We are meeting further down from the Kayak Rental area towards North Beach. As you pass the Snack Bar on the Left, start looking for my Red Truck and kayakers on the right just off the road.

Google Fort Desoto use the satellite view and you will see the Kayak Rental area across from the pier and you will see the canoe trail . Need more info, give me a call.

I need a minimum of 4 students to run the class so please notify me via email or text ASAP.

If there are any changes I will notify you by 7:30am

=======================

When: Saturday, 27 Apr 2019, 9:00 AM - 1:00pm

Location: Ft. De Soto, North Beach Parking lot, north end.

Note: Class Limited to 8 students.  Although you may have registered for the original, canceled event, you must register for this event to reserve a spot.

Coaches: Jean Totz and Eileen Burns

Location: The put in will be a small open area to the right of Shelter 1 at the very end of North Beach parking lot in Fort De Soto. Look for 'Big Red' (my truck).

This is the rescheduled TBSK Picnic Class. What is different is that it will be 4 hours instead of 2 hours and will include Rescue Practice.

This informative class is for all skill levels, it is designed to introduce and strengthen skills for Level II Trips. Bracing and Edging are not particular favorites to practice. Mainly because we do not want to fall in! We are going to show you a fun and safe way to practice Bracing and Edging with confidence. These skills are essential to keep you upright and to maneuver your kayak in conditions. The venue for the class is in clear shallow water. The activities are 'Challenge by Choice' I would like to add that we have selected activities that will help ease your apprehensions. (Optional: Bring a face mask (Publix $10) just in case we have an opportunity to some other fun activities.)

Requirements: Must be comfortable doing wet exits with a spray skirt.

What to bring specifically for this class: Lunch, Spray skirt, paddle float if you have one. Sea Kayak with bulkheads bow and stern.

If you have any questions please contact Jean Totz: jean@tbsk.com. Please register on the website to reserve your spot and allow notification of any changes. If your plans change, please cancel your registration by clicking on "already registered" on the event page, or from your profile “My event registrations” tab or by contacting Jean.
