Ocklawaha River - Ray Wayside to Gores Landing (Level 1+, 10 miles)

Continuing the trip where yesterdays Silver Spring/River paddle left off we'll go down a 10 mile segment of the Ocklawaha River. The Ocklawaha River was saved from being obliterated by the halted construction of the Cross Florida Barge Canal. The Ocklawaha is pristine, profoundly quiet and lined with ancient cypress trees*.
We'll launch from Ray Wayside onto the final Silver River stretch to join the Ocklawaha River. Paddle to Gores Landing.
Meet at Ray Wayside @ 10:00, ready to shuttle to Gores Landing by 10:15. Most vehicles will be left at Gores Landing, I (we?) will provide the people shuttle back to Ray Wayside.
$5/vehicle @ Ray Wayside OR Gores Landing.
