Robinson Preserve is in northwest Bradenton in Manatee County, with entrances at the West end of 9th Ave NW and 17th Ave NW. The club has reserved the screened pavilion next to the parking lot. Meet at 10:00 a.m. for tides.
Lunch meat and bread for sandwiches will be provided by the club. Please bring a dish to share. All paddlers bring water, hat, sunscreen. If the weather looks iffy, check our web site (www.tbsk.club) to see whether the picnic will be cancelled. (We’ll send an email too, but we know sometimes emails can get delayed.) Please register through the web site.
Level 0, 1 - trip leader: Hank Brooks
Level 2 - trip leader: Dave Schmidt. Due to the weather my group will be following the mangrove trail inside the park.
Level 3 - trip leader: Carl Boettger. Will paddle the inside mangrove trail of the preserve and after turning back will cut out into Perico Bay and into Tampa Bay to return to the preserve launch area. If time permits we will go around Gilligan's Island in Tampa Bay before returning to the Preserve.
