Dunedin Spoil Islands

Lets meet at the Edgewater Park Kayak Launch (634 Edgewater Dr, Dunedin) at 9:30 for a 10:00 launch. The plan is to circumnavigate the spoil islands south of the Dunedin causeway. Will be stopping at one or more for scouting and/or light cleanup (TBSK is evaluating "adopting" a spoil through the Keep Pinellas Beautiful organization) and for snack/lunch break.
This trip is rated Level 2 due to a possible distance of up to 9 miles and this is St. Joseph's Sound so there may be chop/winds to challenge our skills.
We'll get a double bump on the tides. The high at 10:17a is 1'9" and the low at 3:02p is still at 1'3".
Required: Level 2 trips involve a faster pace and we're covering up to 9 miles so bring a boat at least 14 feet. We're away from a shoreline so no inflatable pfd's and should have a sprayskirt.
