Cancelled - TBSK Monthly Picnic - Fort De Soto Park

This trip has been cancelled. The TBSK Board has decided that at this time, in order to abide by the government health recommendations, it is best to shut down official TBSK Paddles for now.

For TBSK to do its part in helping contain the corona virus (COVD19) the club’s board has decided on the following actions:

• The April TBSK picnic paddles will be held as scheduled – but without food.  We have decided it would be safer if we did not eat together at this time.
• We will continue to schedule TBSK paddles.  However, we ask that if you are suffering from a cold, flu, or other contagious ailment that you not attend paddles in order to protect other members, including trip leaders if they would need to rescue you.
• During our paddles we will keep an appropriate “social” distance from others both on the water and while on shore.

Pinellas County is cancelling all shelter reservations. The address for the park is 3500 Pinellas Bayway S, Tierra Verde, Pinellas County. There is a $5 per vehicle entrance fee to the park.

All paddlers bring water, hat, sunscreen. If the weather looks iffy, check our web site (www.tbsk.club) to see whether the paddles will be cancelled. (We’ll send an email too, but we know sometimes emails can get delayed.)  Please register through the web site.
