Description: We'll plan to paddle out in the Gulf from Sunset Park Beach (Tarpon Springs) to North Three Rooker Bar. Time for relaxation on the beach with a lunch break before returning. Forecast is currently excellent.
Location: Sunset Beach Park (1800 Gulf Rd), Tarpon Springs
Schedule: Meet at 10:00 for a 10:30 launch. Plan return by 2:30.
Additional information: Parking is free. No water connections for boat cleaning. Bring lunch/snack, drink, and sunscreen. This trip will be capped at 10 paddlers, including trip leader.
Difficulty: Level 2 to 3, distance about 8 miles in open water, may be choppy, must have solid open water skills for this paddle. Refer to TBSK’s Skills Self Assessment Chart and contact the leader with any questions.
Required: Sea kayak at least 15' with water-tight bulkheads, deck lines, sprayskirt and wear a Non-Inflatable PFD. Please register (or cancel) on the website or RSVP to the trip leader to allow notification of any changes
