Location: Honeymoon Causeway (just west of Sail Honeymoon concession), Dunedin
Schedule: Meet at 9:00 for a 9:30 launch. Returning around 2:00.
Description: Launching from the Honeymoon Causeway we"ll head out of Hurricane Pass into the Gulf and go south along Caledesi. Two miles down the coast we beach and do a carryover into Dunedin Pass (about 100 yards). Yes, Caledesi isn't quite an island these days. We'll head to one of the spoil islands for a no rush break before following the spoils north back to the causeway.
Total over 8 miles. Sea kayaks 15+ ft with sprayskirts so experienced with wet exits. Should be comfortable in choppy conditions. Beach landing may include some waves.
Tides: low 4:10am (0'0"), high 10:59am (1'10"), low 4:06pm (1'3")
Weather: winds 12mph SSE, low 70's by noon.
