Description: Launch from the beach at Picnic Area #9 in Fort DeSoto Park to circumnavigate Egmont Key. Meet at 9 a.m.
Requires sea kayak of at least 16 feet in length with a spray skirt. The winds are forecasted to be light. If the winds pick up we will select an alternate route. Bring snack and water. We will be stopping for a break on the west side of Egmont.
Difficulty: Level 2+, for distance, approximately 10 miles.
