Trip Leader/Schedule: Meet Al Tillson (813-832-3961; altillson@yahoo.com) at Anclote River Park, 1119 Baillies Bluff Rd, Holiday, at 10 a.m. on Saturday January 1st for a 10:30 launch.
Description: We’ll paddle for about 2 hours either up the river or along the coast and be back at the park for a lunch/snack break by 1:00. Those who wish to do so can possibly paddle a bit more after lunch.
Requirements: Be sure to bring plenty of water, lunch/snack, sunscreen, insect repellent, and footwear that will protect you against possible oyster shells at take-outs. Remember that water temperatures have dropped, so dress for immersion. A waterproof outer shell is a good idea. All boats should be at least 15 feet long and have sealed flotation and bow and stern grab loops and/or deck lines.
You may also want to bring a camp chair or blanket for use at lunch as we DO NOT have a picnic shelter reserved.
