Trip title: Snug Harbor - Recreational Level

Description: We’ll be paddling about 2 hours at a leisurely pace into the Snug Harbor area with a break for lunch/snack and maybe a little additional paddling afterward for those interested. We’ll see lots of mangroves, a variety of fish, a fair array of water birds, and hopefully the occasional dolphin or manatee.
Location: Pinellas side of Gandy Bridge near Urban Kai
Schedule: Sunday, March 27th. Meet at 11:30 a.m. for a noon launch (the later launch time will get us a much better tide level). Those registered will get additional information on the meeting location.
Additional information: Any seaworthy kayak with deck lines and/or bow and stern grab loops is fine, but all participants must wear a PFD and carry a whistle or other sound-producing device. Be sure to bring plenty of water, lunch or snack, sunscreen, bug repellent, and footwear that will protect you against possible oyster shells at take outs.
