Want to learn about Tampa Bay's special refuges for migratory birds around the Fort Desoto area?
Please join us Monday, May 9 for a special presentation by the Friends of the Tampa Bay National Wildlife Refuges. Co-founder Dave Howard and Patrick Mundus share the history, bird refuge stewardship activities and other initiatives underway.
Tampa Bay includes three National Wildlife Refuges (NWR), including one of the first established refuges in the nation. These three refuges, Pinellas NWR, Passage Key NWR, and Egmont Key NWR, have become safe havens surrounded by one of the most densely populated areas in Florida. Florida’s Tampa Bay is a diverse, vibrant ecosystem that is rich with wildlife resources. Join us and learn more!
