Hillsborough River, Rotary to Dam- Level 1+

Heading inland for a Hillsborough River up-down paddle. Starting at Rotary Riverfront Park we'll head upriver to the dam. After the first couple of miles we enter the Lower Hillsborough Wilderness Preserve where we'll see another sample of the best parts of Florida, wild and undeveloped.
Rotary Park has bathrooms and ample free parking. Thursday Feb 2nd, we'll meet by 9:30 and be ready to paddle by 10. Stopping for a leisurely break at Lettuce Lake Park, which also has bathrooms. After the paddle lets head to Fuzzy's Taco Shop (yes they have beer/margaritas) where they have outdoor seating.
Listing this as a Level 1+ where the skills required are suitable for beginners but it's a 10 mile paddle up/down to the dam. The + is for distance.
Tempted to require long boats (14+ ft) because the distance requires a good pace. If you bring something shorter be aware you'll get a workout keeping up.
