Silver River, Ray Wayside Up/Down - Level 1+

Day trip up to Silver Springs for a run up and down the Silver River from Ray Wayside. Classic destination, one of the best in Florida (shh, don't tell anyone). We'll meet at Ray Wayside at 10 so to launch at 10:30 and paddle over 5 miles upriver to the headspring in the state park. There we'll take a leisurely break before returning to Ray Wayside. Fairly strong current so it'll be good exercise going up then we'll mostly float coming back down.
Would prefer longer boats (14+ ft) only because they'll do much better at getting upriver. The + on the Level 1 refers to the distance and effort of getting up to the state park.
Ray Wayside charges $7, both Ray and the state park have bathrooms. After the paddle food /refreshments at O’Calahan’s Pub & Eatery.
