Trip title: Around Honeymoon Island, Counterclockwise – Level 2

Description: Due to the incoming tide, we will paddle outbound along the backside of Honeymoon Island stopping either near the end or over at Three Rooker for a snack break. We will then return to the causeway via the gulf side of Honeymoon Island. The entire trip will be about 3 hours and 8 miles. There may be wind and waves especially on the gulf side and some currents for the short transit from the sound to the gulf.
Location: Dunedin Causeway just west of the kayak rentals
Schedule: Wednesday March 1st at 9:00 AM meet up for a 9:30 AM launch

Difficulty: Level 2 – Trip will take approximately 3 hours and cover about 8 miles (See Skills Self-Assessment Chart link below for level assignment)
Required / suggested / restricted: Boats should be at least 16 feet long with deck lines sealed bow and stern compartments for flotation. PFDs required. Spray Skirt, Sun Protection, Water and Snacks are highly suggested.
