Trip title: Robinson’s Preserve Rec Paddle

Description: Come on down for a lazy Saturday morning paddle. This time we’ll be paddling at Robinson’s Preserve for an easy recreational level paddle. We’ll head out into the preserve from the North Launch Site and make our way through the preserve to the mouth of the Palma Sola bay. We’ll cross a small portion of the bay were we’ll take a rest stop before returning through the preserve back to the north launch for a total of six miles. This is an ideal paddle for first timers or anyone who wants a nice easy paddle. So if you have a friend or someone who wants to try kayaking for the first time bring them along as a guest.
Robinson Preserve is a scenic coastal preserve that spans over 600 acres, offering visitors a blend of natural beauty and recreational activities. Located in Northwest Bradenton, it features a diverse ecosystem of mangroves, salt marshes, tidal creeks, and coastal wetlands, which provide a habitat for a wide array of wildlife, including birds, fish, and native plants.
Location: Robinson’s Preserve North Launch Site is located at 1704 99th St. NW, Bradenton, FL 34209
Schedule: Saturday 01/24/25 , Meet up and unload at 9:30am for a 10:00am launch. Approximate return time no later than 1:00pm
Difficulty: This will be a Recreation Level paddle. All TBSKers and guests of all skill levels are welcome. This is a smooth flat water paddle with no current.
Recommended: All types of kayaks are ok and should have deck lines and/or grab loops, as well as bow and stern flotation. SUPs are also welcome on this paddle and should have a leg leash attached.
All participants must wear a PFD and carry a whistle or other sound-producing device. Also make sure you bring sunscreen, sun hat, other sun protection, bug repellent and plenty of water and some snacks if you like.
If you have any medical issues that might impact your paddling, please notify the leader before the trip so that they can be best equipped to assist you as needed.
Currently the registration is limited to 10 participants.
